Final Blog Reflection!!
This week I focused on ways to improve my blog. After all the peer review we’ve done, and viewing my classmates work, I’ve noticed they all took the initiative to find ways to make their blog their own and more personable. From adding pictures to an “about” tab, it made me want to engage more with their work. As for my website it seems duller, I think that stems from me treating my blog as a tool to posts homework, I feel my blog doesn’t show much of my identity. So, I took today to not only add pictures and also an about tab to give my peers a peak at the person behind the blog posts. I also added a section for my most popular post and changed my background. It’s more to me than just food and identity. Another way I was able to make changes was through my partner Kayla, after I allowed her to read my entire blog, she let me know I has some grammatical errors, and showed me how to archive my posts.
One thing this class has shown me was, how big of a role food played in our environment. To know that a simple plate a food can help you interact with new people, stir up serious conversation, and represent someone’s personality is kind of cool. This class also taught how to elaborate on my writing, for a long time I why we stuck with the same topic because it starting to get boring to me. But now I realize how talking about the same thing helped me dissect and connect with a topic. This class really pushed my thinking.
Great job Shaniyah! I really like how colorful you made your blog and the positive approach you too to the reflection aspect. It’s been an honor working with you and sharing a classroom with you! - Isabella :)
